San Fermin in Nueva Orleans is an annual festival in New Orleans featuring an Encierro (bull run), which replicates and pays homage to the world famous Encierro of Pamplona, Spain, or “The Running of the Bulls”, only these bulls are none other than members of roller derby leagues across the globe!
Nola Bulls, LLC was founded in 2007 by just four members, including myself. The inaugural run hosted roughly 200 runners and 13 rollergirls. By 2016, over 20,000 people and more than 300 rollergirls participated in the annual summer event.
